Spring Fever. You have it, don't you? That
feeling of extra energy when you're driving along in the sunshine with a big
smile on your face. That bounce in your step and the feeling that you can go
on forever and do anything. The urge for lunch outside at a picnic table in
the park...
Use this post-winter energy surge to get organized.
Clean up the home office. Update your database. Revise your business
information. Touch base with your associates. TALK TO MORE PEOPLE!
A New Ezine for YM&H

Hi, friends! Do you like the new look? I'm
excited about the new monthly Ezine Yours, Mine and Hours will be creating. A
shorter newsletter with more helpful time- saving tips, networking hints and
useful information to create more time and freedom for you.
My clients have been very supportive. Many
of you retain memberships and use my services whenever you need them. I'm
also excited about some great new clients. A few have their own small
businesses and others are individuals needing a helping hand now and then.
My goal is to bring you helpful information
on a monthly basis. Easy hints to create a healthy and stress-less lifestyle
for you and your family. We've been working so hard that some of us have
forgotten how to relax, haven't we?
Life is short. When we grow as individuals,
we come to understand the most important things in life are not material
possessions. We will NOT regret having the best car or the largest house. We
WILL regret not spending enough time with our friends and with those we love.

Networking With Friends
|
|

|

When you want to get involved, REALLY get involved. No
baby steps - take the plunge! Be an integral part of the organization.
Whether it's at work or at play, swing into high gear.
After joining the North Penn Chamber of
Commerce, I immediately enlisted as an Ambassador Committee member. This is
the easiest and most comfortable way to meet both established and new
members of the Chamber. As an Ambassador, you meet and greet members at
Chamber events. You make others feel comfortable and welcome. In doing so,
you make yourself feel comfortable. It's your job to help others fit in and
that makes it easier for you to network and market your own business or
service, as well. By helping others, you help yourself.
Marketing doesn't have to be selling.
Networking doesn't have to be difficult. Talk to people about the services
you offer. Let them know what you do. You may provide a solution to their
biggest problem. You may have what they've been looking for. You won't know
until you talk to them.
Are you up to the challenge? If you feel
uncomfortable at card exchanges and find it hard to push yourself to market
your services, get REALLY involved; like jumping in the pool when you know
it's too cold - JUST DO IT !

Hot Tips
|

|
|
Make your grocery
list according to store layout. You'll save time shopping and avoid
aimlessly wandering up and down the aisles. I use a pre-printed sheet for
clients which saves time writing itemized lists. The client reviews the
product choices and checks the items they want me to purchase and deliver.
Keep a TO DO list in priority order. Start
at the top. You won't get everything finished, but you'll feel good
accomplishing the most important jobs.
No time to read, you say? Keep your latest
book in the car. When you are waiting at school to pick up the kids or
sitting in the reception area at the physician's office, take out the book
and enjoy some quality reading time. You have to wait anyway and those
minutes add up to hours. You'll make the time go faster and get a feeling
of accomplishment when you finish that novel or magazine article.
Get rid of stress inducers. Help others
eliminate some of theirs. Do NOT forward every e-mail you receive. When you
read your mail, only forward the worthwhile ones and use discretion in
forwarding. Help cut down on everyone's "read later" pile.

I'm excited! A business associate, publishing her own
newsletter, asked me if I'd like to write a small piece in her LeapFROG
section. These are stories about "leaps of faith" taken by
individuals as they move forward in life. You KNOW I said yes...
I left a lucrative job and ventured out on
my own. My story appeared in the January 2004 newsletter LeapFROG section
of Veris Associates, Inc. Deborah Moses, President of Veris Associates, is
a wonder. She runs her own business, markets it constantly, is a wife and
Mom and spends countless more hours doing charity work.
Take a look at her website. The link is
posted below. If you think Veris can help you and you want further
information, contact Deb. Please tell her I said hello.

Right Place - Right Time

Listen to how many
times you hear the word "concierge" these days. Credit card
companies tout concierge information services. New luxury apartment complexes
include concierge service in their residential packages. Some retirement
living communities provide concierge and personal assistants onsite for
their elderly residents.
I had lunch with a fellow concierge a few
weeks ago. The requests we receive are much the same. They range from
virtual assistant services for small businesses to delivering meals and
assisting seniors living on their own. From errand running to creating and
preparing anniversary celebration invitations, tracking responses and working
with the banquet office during the reception. Real Estate firms use
concierges on a regular basis to assist them. What great fun it is!
Would you like your mail picked up while
you're away on vacation? Stock the refrigerator for your return home? Imagine
the security of that lived-in look while you're gone. Personal assistants
provide more time and freedom for you. Let me know how you would use a
personal concierge?
