Greetings!
As soon as Christmas was over, the candy hearts
and Valentine cards were on store shelves. Don't jump
on the bandwagon just to follow everyone else. Don't
just buy because the retailers want you to buy. Make
choices based on YOUR life and situation.
We recognize that February is marked as a month of
love. Not just romantic love, but all kinds of
unconditional love. Let's recognize this month as an
extra special chance to show our families and those
special friends close to us that we appreciate them -
we appreciate their relationships and we appreciate
their presence in our lives. Realize that when all is said
and done, we will be remembered not for what we had,
but for the person we were and the way we touched
the lives of others.
Don't buy into all the commercial fluff, but do buy into
the fact that the most important thing in life is LOVE!
However, if any of you husbands are reading this, and
you don't bring some beautiful flowers or "something"
home on Valentine's Day, you'll probably be in the dog
house. I didn't say forget about romantic love, I simply
said celebrate more...OK?
Good Press!
This month I want to share with you some great news.
Click on the link below to find a recent article published
both in the Times Herald and The Reporter
newspapers. The article is about ICEA's Annual
Conference.
I was elated to find out that in addition to having my
entry, "Capital Connections" chosen as the theme for
the 2005 International Concierge and Errand
Association Annual Conference, I was also the First
Place winner in the MCEA active points program.
This all goes to prove that when you decide to
become more involved, great things happen. Go ahead,
why are you still sitting on the sidelines? If there's
something you think you should be doing, go for it!
Thanks to Carla Mandell, Chanel Briscoe, and Laura
Volare (Country Concierge) for their friendship and
support in ICEA.

Summer Open Air Theater |
 |
With winter's chill in the air, our minds drift this
Valentine's Day to thoughts of sitting on a blanket on
the grassy hillside with the summer sun warming our
skin. The melodious music travels through the air as
the bands play on Tuesday evenings in Lansdale's
White's Road Park. For many years I have enjoyed the
evening concerts and now my daughter and our friends
carry on the tradition. What a terrific break from your
work week. What a great way to wind down after a
hard day at the office.
This year, the Rotary Club has undertaken a Rotary Int'l
Centennial Project to Build The Bandshell at the Park's
outdoor concert stage. They have reached 75% of
their fundraising goal and now Rotary members would
like you to participate in their final Centennial
fundraising event.
In mid-February a lucky ticket holder will win one of
seven new vehicles, or $20,000. There will ONLY be
999 tickets sold for this special raffle. Tickets cost
$100 and checks should be made payable to the North
Penn Rotary Foundation, a 501c3 charitable
organization.
Please assist in spreading the word about this special
Car Raffle. Forward this e-mail with your own special
note. The Band Shell will greatly enhance the
community in which many of us live and work. And,
$20,000 or a car wouldn't be too shabby, either!
Please contact Scott Walton at 215-855-6893 to
obtain a ticket, and to find out about other
opportunities to Support the Bandshell.
PS: PASS IT ON! (The e-mail, that is!)
